Best battle I ever had was in Planetside. 250 players from each of the three sides all battling it out over one base. TR defending the base, while the NC coming in with a column of tanks to the main entrance, while we, Vanu, were hacking out way into the back of the base. The sky was literally so full of aircraft you couldn't hardly survive up there for more then a few seconds. 750 players all slugging it out for hours. Good times, good times. My first time ever getting called a hacker in a game. Simply because I got shot out of the sky, and while falling to the ground, pulled out my anti air and killed the Mosq pilot who'd shot me down.

In the end though, Core Combat is what killed it for me. The game stability just went to crap, the "upgraded vehicles" weren't worth it, and the whole cavern fight stuff just seemed lame. That and back base hacking simply killed it for me.

Best days of that game was the 24/7 bridge battles being fought in beta. Oh and the Jackhammer being overpowered.
