Well the episode after the break had David and the prince out on a mission helping Gath with rebels, which led to them finding out about the weapons and then the general, and then the king killing him to wrap up that part of the story. They already dealt with the handing over of port prosperity, so not much else to tell about Gath for now.
I honestly thought it was Thomasina he shot when it happened, but she showed up in the following scenes. Since they haven't made a big deal of it, not even a mention of cover up for him shooting the wrong person. So I would assume it was the assassin that he killed. David is in real shit after this last episode.
