Druids already take significantly less damage than DKs with the current patch. They have about 3000 more armor and ~3% more avoidance in BiS gear. DKs are still favored for the 1000-1500 extra HP and far superior cooldowns.
After this patch the cooldowns are the same and the Druid armor advantage is closer to 5000, and the HP totals are equal. They also have a small avoidance advantage. There remains no real reason to use a DK over a Druid, ever, anymore.
Remember Druids can also use Furious Gladiator for tanking if they can get it, which is FAR superior to any PvE tank gear. ~150 more stamina, ~50 more agility, and ~300 more armor than T8 when raid buffed. This pushes the gap out even wider.
The gap between Druids and DKs for tanking in these patch notes is larger than the gap between DKs and PAL/WAR was in 3.0.
