1.
Super Mario World - The Entire Soundtrack (Forest of Illusion here) When I hear ANY song from Super Mario World, I am transported back to when I was 6. I smell things I haven't smelt in almost two decades. I see people I haven't seen in years. And it just makes me
happy.
2.
Xenogears - Light From The Netherworld My vision gets fuzzy when I hear this. I can see the neon outlines of the Xenogears intro movie of Deus coming alive and attacking the Eldridge. Gives me chills.
3.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Chainsaw Hedgemaze Mayhem Level 4 of ZATM. The music is amplified in-game by the sound of chainsaws ripping through anything and everything. Terrifying.
4.
Sonic 2 - Chemical Plant Zone - Similar to Super Mario World, hearing the music from any Sonic transports me back to my 6 year old self. I can smell my cousin's old house when I hear Chemical Plant Zone or Emerald Hill Zone, and I haven't been there in over a decade. It's insane.
5.
DOOM - E1M1
'Nuff said.
Oh, runners up (wasn't really a child when I played either of them though) --
FF7 - Mako Reactor /
FF3/6 - Terra's Theme
