I pretty much stopped reading when he brought back wulfgar. Pretty much ruined the series for me and he spent the next book +1 hamfisting his way through trying to fit him back into the story when it was obvious everybody had kinda moved on.

The original two trilogies are really good, probably some of the best of Forgotten Realms outside of the Harpers series of books.

Though to be honest it's all been pretty stale since the late 90's. It was less an evolving world and more of a bunch of people writing thinly veiled slash fanfic.

Last thing I remember was some sort of siege and Drizzt was off on his own behind the lines murdering shit left and right. I really hated the Wulfgar book, especially the whole marriage shit and the kid. Seriously, fuck Wulfgar. And then he made Drizzt all emo and shit. I really dreaded any chapter that was devoted to Wulfgar, it was so bad, like audible groans bad. I haven't read the most recent books but unless Drizzt finally hooks up with Cattiebrie I don't plan on reading any more of his books.
