| I think there is a bit of a difference between EQ and Minesweeper. I also think that games like EQ can become mentally addicting to a certain degree. I don't think anyone can argue that point, honestly. How many in here have complained they've wasted years of their lives playing? How many sit around at work waiting to get off so they can log right in and go level and/or raid? You can get the same effect off amusement park rides and anything else that gives you great thrills in small bursts. And for people who have disorders such as OCD, EQ can become a very dangerous game, IMO .. I'm not going to blame EQ for anything, because like all things, it's a choice to play it or not. But I will say stuff like this can be dangeous to certain people, and I dont think there is any real way to control it, or punish anyone. Darwinism is about the only real thing that can be said about it. |
