The later books are kinda bad. It's obvious he got pretty bored with "AND THEIR SWORDS CLANGED LIKE CLANGY GLANG CLANG" by the later half of the series.

The original two trilogies are really good, probably some of the best of Forgotten Realms outside of the Harpers series of books.

Though to be honest it's all been pretty stale since the late 90's. It was less an evolving world and more of a bunch of people writing thinly veiled slash fanfic.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: I pretty much stopped reading when he brought back wulfgar. Pretty much ruined the series for me and he spent the next book +1 hamfisting his way through trying to fit him back into the story when it was obvious everybody had kinda moved on.
