| I think you guys make some interesting points about the huge swings of power eq items could bring. I am trying hard to think of items from other MMO's but it's hard to recall many notables.
I feel like some of the more regimented and designed MMO's like WoW could deal with a little less balance and a little more fun in itemization. I would like to see stuff with weird and massive effects, things that really make your character feel unique.

Bladestorm, Soul Leech, Tantor's Tusk (the reverse of moss covered twig), Tranquil Staff, Fungi Staff (Torpor yourself!), Polished Granite Tomahawk, the only other notable item I remember was some sort of flaming hammer I got in DaoC from Legion.
