I think McCain did better in this debate then any of the previous ones but what sucks for him is that he finally found out what he
should have been talking about all along in the first 30 minutes of this debate. Had he done this one debate ago then this debate might have played out differently. That said now he has to go take that message to the battleground states where hes being outspent heavily and where he can't expect to get media coverage any bigger then last night.
Secondly I thought McCain hurt himself for some of same reasons already mentioned and other one I haven't seen yet.
McCain
NEVER agrees with Obama.
Never. He has to argue about every single point. It is really childish. I know there are a TON of issues they disagree on and I get that but is McCain really up there giving off the view that every view obama has ever had is always wrong and he is always right? When Obama says "McCain and i agree..." he scores points because he shows that he can consider the opinion of the other side and if its better he can adapt to it. (Note* This doesn't necessarily mean that Obama had an opposite opinion to begin with)
I would have liked the moderator to ask another question which I think would have benefited McCain greatly. "Senator McCain: Do you 100% agree and support
any of Obama's plans?"
That would have made it really look like a person who works across the isle.
I also think the "I'm not Bush" will backfire since it will put out more coverage from Obama about how he IS just like Bush. Frankly, when you vote with Bush 90% of the time your best argument against that is to side step it and get around the issue. Answer it once then ignore it and focus on something else the people find important. Let the people get over it.
If he spends the next two weeks fighting that charge of being Bush then hes done for.

While I don't watch Olbermann very often when I have seen him he is usually making jokes about other peoples ignorance or naivety. Most of the time hes picking on republicans where there seems to currently be an excessive amount of it. Now making fun of the ignorant is bad taste but I can't say that I would equate that with hate speech.
For example if i spoke ghetto and someone made fun of me for it, it would be a thin line, but I could understand how they were making fun of my ignorance to speaking proper English. Which if my middle name was Hussein and they were using it as a derogatory word there's not even a possible thin line about it. That's hate.
So no I wouldn't say Rush or Hannity are comparable to Olbermann even if Olbermann is bad taste.
