| Optonline was the previous 'best' ISP in the US. Think it was the highest ranked ISP on dslreports for years. I had that for a really long time (I'm in the NY area as well) but jumped to FIOS when that was available.
Opt use to be so anal with up caps. They wouldn't tell you when you were capped and what the cap was. As for DL, they didn't give a shit about it. It was just UL. I had to call a few times over my years as a customer about them lifting my UL cap whenever we tripped whatever secret formula they had for it kicking in. It might be different now cause I'm sure FIOS is eating into their market % here. |
