I've never really thought about my shoes much past "do they fit alright?" as I pretty much have paddles for feet and am lucky to even find shoes that fit me. |
If you don't run that often or train to improve your times, you probably won't notice that much of a difference. A running shoe can really make or break you if you're serious about the sport. I learned that lesson when I bought a pair of New Balance 892's. After breaking them in they cut a hole so deep on the back of my heel that I still bleed when I run, and I had to eventually scrap them because my legs cramped so fucking bad I could barely make it past the first mile. When I went back to the Asics the problems were solved.
