UPDATE: In a rather bizarre new development, it turns out the prime suspect in this case lives a few hundred yards down from me. He was a b-tard going to school here at the University of Tennessee and supposedly claimed responsibility for the e-mail intrusion (since people get so pissy about it being called a hack). I was at a party nearby when all this shit happened:

Turns out he's Mike Kernell's son, a state Representative and, yes, a democrat as well. How funny. I always knew there were /b/ denizens lurking moar on my campus, but never figured one of them would be a local politician's son and live within a stone's throw of me.
Just, wow. I'm really glad I was too drunk to stray from the party, the FBI nabbing me by mistake would been a horrible cap off of a weekend that involved a horrific loss to Florida and lots and lots of fights....
