Wait.... the Republicans took a booming American economy and drove it straight into RECESSION and you think the Democrats will ruin our economy?
This is like the movie groundhog day watching a train wreck over and over again. Go ahead and keep voting Republican - I am developing a morbid curiosity to see just how much damage Republican's can do. We may be looking at a full 16 years of uninterrupted republican rule here and I am curious to see if the country can survive it. You are voting for a future with:
- Abortion becoming illegal
- Creationism taught in schools
- A repeal or lack of judicial recognition of civil rights and civil liberties
- Unfettered corporate dominance over American workers with no regulation or restrictions on outsourcing American jobs
- A continued reliance on fossil fuels with no real government incentive to break our dependence of foreign oil
- Higher taxes for the middle class and low income Americans
- Privatization of social support services
- Expansionist foreign policy without any attempt at arms control and a renewed Cold War
If the majority of American's truly want to see this reality then go out and vote Republican. We are a democracy and those are the rules. However, I do not think that red state America truly understands the consequences that will occur from this. If the majority of U.S. voters want to take the country back to the dark ages - so be it - but get ready for the blowback.
