Times change, issues change. Human society is no where near the utopia of the ideals put forth in these documents. And, TBQH the documents were written and signed by wealthy white landowners. Their outlook on life was not exactly the same as ours today. |
I hear this every time a decent discussion of human rights and civil liberties pops up. Other than to give us a very brief history lesson and tell us that we have become less hypocritical over time, what is your point?
