Yes, McCain has pandered in the last 8 years. Yes, he is trying to show the evangelicals they don't need to think he is the boogeyman. That's a neccessary evil under the current republican coalition. But that doesn't mean he's going to govern like Bush, and that doesn't mean he's agreed with everything Bush has done. If you've paid attention to politics the last eight years you would know that. |
Then what does that mean exactly... That he will basically get Elected and turn his back on all those evangelicals that got him elected? What does that tell you about the character of someone who has to go out and pretend someone he is not(according to you) to get all happy go lucky with the base of his party?
