There's way too much stupid h8 from reviews I've seen so far on this game. Some reviewer even marked it down saying that a part that is easy as hell to figure out as long as you have an IQ over 2(calling in your heli-pilot to pick up fuel/cash/ordinance strikes) was too difficult to figure out for a new player and wasn't explained well, even though it is, and you'd have to be in fucking 1st grade to not know how to do it even if you didn't bother to read the little pop-up showing how do to it.

As far as the game itself, I've noticed most of the bugs seem to be more prevalent in co-op mode. In single-player, most of the bugs I experience with the buddy I play with don't happen nearly as frequently. Most of them are minor little glitches like enemies not shooting correctly or getting stuck in certain objects. We did have one major bug where I dropped a daisy cutter near one of the outposts we were supposed to take over and destroyed it, failing the mission while my buddy was doing the little cut-sceneish thingy to take over a tank. When we reloaded the misssion, he was stuck and couldn't move, even though on my screen he moved fine. That's the only real "game-breaking" bug I've found so far.

Sound: The voice-acting for the main characters is pretty decent(Peter Storemare ftw), but the constant radio chat of your HQ chick blabbering about returning to the HQ if you need help figuring out where to go gets really damn annoying after you hear it for the 608th time.

The soundtrack is pretty decent and the sounds of explosions/gunfire/etc. are pretty well done IMO.

Gameplay: Mostly a run and gun 3rd person perspective ala GTA:IV. Not the greatest controls for shooting and such, but this game isn't meant to be an FPS. It's a 3rd person sandbox game in which you blow shit up. LOTS of shit. Literally everything in the game can be destroyed.

Co-op is a damn blast. Stuff you can pull off as a team, especially if you're using voice is pretty sweet. Coordinating for some of the missions together makes them so much smoother in most cases.

Graphics: IMO they are really well done. They look pretty nice even in SD, especially the explosions. I can't even imagine how badass they'd be with an HD setup.

I'd definitely give the game an 8-8.5/10, but without co-op, I'd probably drop that to a 6.5/7.0. Having a friend to revel in the mass amounts of destruction along with you just makes it so much more satisfying. If you've got a good friend to play with, I'd say the game is definitely worth 60$. Otherwise, it's probably only good as a rental.
