| I've watched both conventions now, both Obama/Biden's speeches and Palin's speeches as well as the supporting speakers from both parties that were televised, and i've noticed something, perhaps not alltogether earth shattering but interesting:
Has anyone noticed that when people talk about John McCain's life and record, or Sarah Palin's life and record that they used about 7 minutes each with people whom have known those person's for years, and you felt that each speech was heartfelt? Even with Biden, you got the whole "single parent commuting to work" perspective that gave you some insight into his character. However, when Obama's supporters come on, you get the distinct feeling that nobody really knows anything about him, to the point where you wonder what he has to hide. Then you remember all those associations that made news about 7 months ago, (i.e. ayers and that pastor) and you wonder what else he's hiding.
Perhaps it's just me, but I'm not comfortable voting for someone who can't even come up with ONE person to tell Obama's story. (no, an intro video doesn't count). I can't pinpoint his character or how he would act as an executive, and thats honestly the biggest problem with him. |
