| How much exactly does it cost ISPs for bandwidth anyways?
I get multi-terrabyte bandwidth rates from my web host on my $9.95/m plan. Usenet gives you terrabyte+ for around the same price.
I pay $50+ for internet and somehow 300gb makes them lose money?
Someone explain this to me please.
I realize the bigger issue is in bandwidth hogging, but who the fuck cares? as a consumer *that isn't our problem* the ISPs over-sold and the responsability for it rests on them, not us. They should be upgrading their services to meet what they offered to begin with, no imposing caps to continue offering an inferior product. |
