A neighbour of mine fucked up dialing 911. Her husband had been trimming hedges and was stung by a bee or wasp. He didn't realize he was allergic, as he'd never had a problem before. After a few minutes he started to feel hot and itchy, and went inside to take a shower. He ended up passing out in the hallway and his wife came upon him. She's super fucking high strung to begin with, so I can only imagine how she freaked out. She claims she dialed 911 repeatedly and it "wasn't working", but I'd be willing to bet she dialed 991. Thankfully she had her shit together enough to call another neighbour down the street who was a nurse and had an epipen handy, and her husband didn't croak because of her stupidity.
Why do I know she dialed 991? Because in recounting the story she involuntarily said 991 a couple times during the conversation. Some people
