I just finished The Player of Games, Culture book #2 (in terms of publication date.) It was quite good, and far better than Consider Phlebas, the preceding book. I'm just going by hearsay here -- I've yet to read Matter -- but it's apparently one of the weaker books. Use of Weapons comes out in a couple days (hell, maybe it's already out!) and I'll be picking that up.
