I rather liked that Faye didn't give a shit about the others unless it benefited her, at least up until the point where she finally realized that she needed them as much/more than they needed her. She was an asshole, but since she was consistent in it I felt it added to the character rather than being a negative. I also thought that the Faye-background episodes were some of the best in the series.

Electra. Wish she'd been in the show, actually. Part of that may be the Jennifer Hale fanboy in me talking, I admit. I liked Vincent too, he had an interesting agenda at least. Sure, the movie was basically just a 90 minute episode wedged in between the last few, but what's wrong with that? It was preferable to them doing the movie Escaflowne-style (although I liked that one too, actually).
