What about the military issues of draining our oil reserves? Fuck what about the environmental impacts? Hell why Aren't we pushing for more alternatives harder? What's wrong with doing massive massive tax breaks for companies which put out 50mpg cars?

What about redoing our entire infrastructure to support electric cars? A massive undertaking that costs trillions but would provide trillions in jobs directly to the US?

Thats a serious discussion that I'd like to have.
You want electric or hydrogen powered cars? You need more nuke plants. Envirowhackos don't like nukes. They put their fingers in their ears and refuse to listen. Nuclear power is the only efficient way to power those two types of cars though. Hydrogen production takes lots of energy. Plugging your car into your outlet at home simply takes the load off the gasoline industry and puts it on your local power plant, very few of which are mostly of the polluting variant.
