| I was 16. Couple of my friends played UO religiously (they were one year younger, 15) and kept telling me and another friend (hardcore TA players) about this new game called EverQuest. So we signed up for the beta and got in. Disc came in the mail sometime just before Christmas break in '98, and I was the first one to load it up and play out of all of us.
I stumbled around for three goddamn hours in Neriak thinking it looked cool, but ultimately sucked giant donkey dick and that I probably wouldn't be playing it again. Oh...oh.
