In my mind I was going to build this super awesome character that would lay waste to the world. Even if such a char did exist (smitadins perhaps?), I might as well just go single player and hero editor one up anyway. It's not like there's a multiplayer endgame.

The fun of the game is in the endorphins released from seeing gold items drop when you kill things. Then you take those things and build new chars. They don't all have to be MF chars... maybe you want to play a javazon or something more obscure.
I once made a melee sorc who had some unique sword that cast hydras and meteors when hitting things. Was it the most powerful char ever? No.. but it was unique and fun.
