You can't compare an emerging tech to an old tech that has been powering Auto's for a hundred years. Naturally the efficiency isn't going to be the same or as convenient right out of the gate. If it was we'd all be using it instead of filling our tanks for $4/ gal.

It takes years / decades for shit like this to get better and better until its feasible for mass use. Its a good start. Nasa has been using fuel cells for like 30 years now, now that there is private interest to develop this and economic need its going to take off.

There is just way too much money involved for it not too. Not too mention global competition as Chevy, Ford and Dodge are finding out the hard way.
