| The original content in Lord of the Rings 2 and 3 was stupid and not needed.
Cutting out Bombabil and Glorfindel and adding the Boromir death was a good move and made the first film much better than the book for me.
Then they they do things like randomly sending Eomer off and killing every defender at helms deep except the 10 people in the throne room, then go on to put Frodo in Osgiliath rather than have the awesome Shelbo 'kills' Frodo ending. The start of Two Towers was in the first film, and the ending in the third film... I don't really know what they where trying to do there.
I won't even go into stupid bright green ghosts saving Minas Tirith like a tide of putrid shit, and Frodo walking across Mordor in 5 minutes.
And now there is going to be a whole film of this stuff!? Maybe it will be two hours of fake endings. |
