| To be honest, I bet Pop and Co. would be thrilled to have Kobe take as many shots as he wants from the opening tip. He was actively getting his teammates involved early to get their confidence up, and guess what? It worked. Now take that away from them and have Kobe be the dominate one from the get go and I don't think the same result as tonight happens.
They're a better team when he does what he did tonight. 2 shots? Maybe not, maybe with him spreading it out over 4 quarters but to have him take over a game from the get go is the wrong approach and HE knows it. Thats why he did what he did tonight and says what he says to the media about getting his team involved. Sure he can take over a game at any given moment, but if he starts off that way, this deep in the playoffs against a tough opponent it will spell trouble.
He's finally learned that it takes a team and building confidence over the course of 48 minutes to pull out a win. Want to change that? Go right ahead. |
