for millions of americans that are struggling with bills, having to choose between filling the tank or buying food...well asking them for money is just an insult.
|
I agree thats an insult. Just like politicians asking for money from these same people. But........
Fucking please. You mean the people who make the cover of CNN for being so poor they have to live in their car WITH THEIR DOGS?! I'm pretty sure the ads are overall targeted to people who can afford to give a little something. (I gave $100 to the red cross for the chinese earthquake situation, I expect you have given something?)
Who, in their right mind, is so poor they have to live in their own car, and can barely afford food, but at the same time doesn't get rid of dogs they can't afford?
I am sick and tired of people playing the crying game of being poorer than shit, yet still enjoying the luxuries that most people that are "poor" in the world don't get at all.

yao ming has and will probably forever have anything and everything he needs and wants. 70k is nothing for him. it's not a sacrifice.

it's the same opinion i gave in one of the political threads about the clintons. yeah, they gave over 10 million to charities.
|
But.. I don't understand this. You're saying that you will not look favorably upon them unless they give up all (or a large part of) their money that they have worked really hard to earn, and therefore the 10 million from the clintons, and the 70k from Yao are nothing, and make no difference? And you have given what?
If anyone is being hypocritical, its you.
