Also what do you guys on the right think about him flip flopping on his ability to understand economics? In one of the debates documented here he basically said he didn't know wtf the question meant and he's not an expert on economics but rather war. Later on he proclaimed that he was very experienced and knew quite a bit about economics due to being on some congressional committee's. He then proceeded to fake an answer to Ron Paul on a subject but his answer was full of ridiculous holes as he clearly did not understand wtf he was talking about.

That was also in this thread. What do you guys think about him, really? Do you really think he's smarter then the average individual (also he graduated near the bottom of his 800-900 person class, around being the 5th last person)?

I'll tell you exactly what I think.
First, I think that his catering to the extreme right in order to get that part of the vote is going to hurt him. I believe that he got the nomination because he sold himself as a moderate. Once he won, dumbasses like Limbaugh and Coulter started saying he was as bad as Hillary and all sorts of other dumb crap. In my opinion, that should have been a clue that he was doing something right!

If he doesn't get back on track and become the candidate that he was to win the GOP nom, it's going to really hurt.

I am not sold on McCain, but I'm also not sold on Obama. There are quite a few months and debates that will happen before the election and I'm reserving my vote until then.

Flip flopping is what completely killed John Kerry (among other things, but this was the biggest for me). I cannot STAND when a candidate panders to whatever group they happen to be speaking in front of at the time. You can't talk to the NRA and claim to love guns one day, then talk to a mother's group and claim to hate guns the next.

I don't think you have to be the smartest guy in the world and, frankly, someone's grade in college doesn't impact my choice. He's been out of college for XX years (which is another topic, yeah), so the fact that he did poorly XX years ago doesn't mean crap.

I DO think, however, that the President needs to realize the areas he's weak in and find the best help. Economics not your strong point? Hire some damn good economists. Weak on defense? Guess what....you got a built in answer for that one (as long as you listen to them). etc.

How's that for an answer, Kaio?
