I made a new char, zoomancer this time. Am I supposed to be able to kill anything on my own? My skeletons don't really die but they do shit for damage. On nightmare now, lvl 69. My skels only level 25
Max out:

Raise Skeleton
Skeletal Mastery
Corpse Explosion.

Put about 10 points or so into Amplify damage, and get a NM Act 2 Offensive merc for Might aura. Amp Damage makes your skeletons do 100% damage, and your merc's might aura ups everyone's damage too. As soon as the first monster dies, start hitting corpse explosion and the rest will follow.

It's good to have one point in each curse. Attract is great for crowd control because even in hell with level 29 skeletons, my skeletons still die in certain fights(cursed and monsters with conviction). Also, Attract cannot be overridden by another curse so you can spam Amp over it. Your minions are dumb, and you'll often find them fighting at choke points where only 1-2 can attack at a time. Spam terror to make all the monsters flee and your skellies will move in behind them and fill up the space.

I always keep a clay golem out too because he slows monsters he hits, and it works even against bosses. Slowing them to 30% means you can keep Amp instead of decrepify to kill them faster.

If you do end up killing bosses on runs like Baal/Mephisto, you may find that it takes a good while for your minions to take them out. Find a 6 socket weapon with a good speed (usually a 6 socket phase blade), and an armor with Crushing Blow mod on it (usually Goblin Toe, since it is a very easy drop and has 25% CB on it). Put 4-5 Eth runes and 1-2 Shael runes in the blade(depends on the breakpoint, I don't remember), and start swinging on the boss.

With 5 Eth runes, it's -125% target defense. Against Act bosses, it's cut in half to 62.5%. It doesn't matter if your swing does 10 damage, since whenever you hit and Crushing Blow goes off, it instantly takes off 1/32 (or is it 1/64th?) of an Act boss' total hp. It's important to note that the Ignore Target Defense mod does not work on bosses, nor on superuniques, which is why Eth runes are used instead.

My memory isn't exact but it's pretty close there.
