Honestly, you can heal a heroic in greens. Full PvP gear is more then enough.
They nerfed heroics quite a bit, they aren't very heroic anymore aside from Mr.T which is new.
You need to decide whether Arenas are important or not. All the people here giving advice on group synergies and stuff obviously didn't read the fact that you are interested in arenas.
ANYONE can do heroics, you can do a heroic witha rogue tank if you know what you are doing. Heroics aren't that big a deal.
On the other hand to be truly competitive in arena 5's you need certain class compositions. Especially with s4 gear requiring ratings you can't just run around at 1400 and get fully geared.
So focus on people playing the right classes for arenas, you will be able to do heroics with whatever you decide.
