It wasn't a "ghost" because they don't exist, but for three days straight I would wake up to "You need coolin', Baby I'm not foolin" wander over, slam my fist on the stop button, check the player to see if anything was in it, and then go back to bed. Finally I just unplugged the CD player.
tough shit, it happened, and I sure as shit can't explain it, but I doubt it was the vengeful spirit of a little girl or some guy who hanged himself.
