It did'nt use to be like that.In the first couple of seasons they only mentioned Glad.I liked this host beter then the first.The firs host was Billy Joels new wife who is like 20 something.

I was laughing my ass off when Katie was given the "blood line" portion of fish late in the first season. You know that was intentional. No one gave a shit about her opinion, even the Chefs.
The first season was an odd season. They also had people like Candice who hadn't even finished culinary school. But she was a hawaiian tropic model trying to get out of that career, go figure. By the by, she went back to acting and modeling. She's starring in a few local commercials here in SoCal. It sounds like they weren't entirely looking for Chefs in S1. But each season has gotten better. The 2nd was actually the worst imo. They looked more like people who thought they were on the "The Real World", rather than a cooking competition.
