Fixed. I liked BRD. I no longer play WoW.

Their customer base gets tailered to what they do (ie, the easiest shit to implement) not visa-versa.

Think about it: instances. Yeah, I guess they have some benefits for players, but they largely help the devs by saving labor--rather than having to produce dungeons that can support a lot of different groups at once, they just copy the same small one over and over again. And the people who can stand instancing play the game, and those who can't just leave.

Don't ever assume that blizzard implements something because it's the best/most fun option for the players. Blizzard is all about investment/returns and they use their IP to convince people that their method of game design is innovative rather than cheap:
battlegrounds rather than world pvp
instances rather than large dungeons
skill trees rather than well-designed classes
the list goes on.
