Before i went in a different direction with my life I was a PHCC certified master journeyman plumber, specializing in civic pump skids and water purification sites for city of los angeles. I promise you that your tap water is beter for you than any brand of bottled water.
There are many types of filtration systems used by different bottling companies. None of them are as solid as the city's system.
Without going into a long technical diatribe, there is even one type of commonly used filtration system that hasnt been outlawed yet for bottling water, this particular process can actually help rott your teeth over time. Reverse osmosis, creates agressive water that leaches minerals out of your teath and tissue. Im not saying this happens in a few bottles though, you would have to stick with that type of bottled water for years and years and years for RO water to have a serious effect.
Seriously the only city systems i would doubt the quality of only exist in the far north-eastern US(here only because of aging systems and materials that have been outlawed) and the southern most part like florida and the south eastern most US.
California has the most advanced potable water delivery/filtration system in the world. Yet you people still insist on this stupid bottled water craze.
