| As many folks felt:
Vanguard, again hoping for a true sequel to EQ, and bought into a lot of the hype. Especially excited about the diplomacy, which was pretty fun. Glad to hear Aruspex is a dev now with Stargate:Worlds... gives me a reason to check it out.
Lack of meaningful lore content (and the ton of other problems) killed it for me, though.
EQ2 on release, felt horribly sterile... I missed EQ on release, and was hoping for an up to date true "sequel";
Other notables in the disappointment category:
SWG:Pre-CU for content (loved the social/city elements);
Horizons (content);
DDO for how poorly the game elements, and the Eberron world, were implemented;
CoH for the sparse/repetitive content after the teen levels.
Could kick myself for not jumping into EQ live back in '99/2000 when I had the chance.
