| Biggest Disappointment?
Reading the Planetside thread got me thinking. Since you've been following game development which one proved to be the biggest let down for you? With the way advertising is now, it seems we know everything their is to know about a game months of even yeas before it comes out. I remember reading about Planetside thinking "Oh man a FPS and MMORPG combined? How can you go wrong?" Another one that comes to mind is Savage. For one guy, it's an RTS but for the people he's controlling it's an FPS. Great idea, but poorly executed. No one wanted to be told to mine gold, they wanted to go fight.
So any other games come to your minds? At this point I almost want to stop reading about upcoming games to save myself the inevitable burn. I'm REALLY excited for the new Stars Wars game but I've been screwed over too many times to keep my hopes up. |
