| I think it's going to be pretty cut and dry.
At the first presidential debate, and probably the only one, people will finally see Obama and McCain side by side. The points of the debate will probably be minor compared to what people will see. A young vibrant candidate and and old, stiff, white haired one. Game over. It's gonna be Kennedy vs Nixon all over again.
I'm not saying it's a fair way to decide. But a lot of people are going to base their decision on what they see. And McCain loses that to Obama. I suspect that all those questionable red states - Indiana, N.Carolina, Colorado, Texas, Florida, will all follow Obama because of that.
As VP choices, their impacts are pretty minimal to the public as we've seen, but it would be good if Obama were to pick a military man like Clark or Powell, although I think he can probably pick almost anyone. McCains choices are much harder, but I think it will be someone who is less well known generally.
