You asked; "How has your life changed in the last 7 years after 9/11 in respects to everything being America now being gone?", and I gave you several examples that you choose to ignore.
Extra security at airports so tight that, until very recently, you couldn't even take water onto a plane. Not to mention "overzealous" security deciding random items can be used as weapons, including diamond studded earrings, to be confiscated. I'm sure they would have turned them in instead of pocketing them... I won't even get into the racial profiling or attractive women being strip searched. If all you've had to do was take off your shoes, you're very, very lucky.

You've been wiretaped. And you're right, you didn't know about it until last year when they got caught. Every American has, and the data base collecting is still going on.
Patriot Act. Gov't can come into your home, search it, take what they want, and not inform you. I'm pretty sure they don't even need a warrent for it now, if they say it falls under terroist threats. You can be detained indefinately without a lawyer, and without ever having charges brought on you.
