| I think that was my problem. I got into Diablo 2 after they came out with the Battle Chest for it, so it had been out quite awhile. I quickly found out that you couldn't take your single player char into multiplayer, so I decided to go through the game on Battle.net so as to not waste my time building a single player char just to remake him when I wanted to play online.
So I create a character in my own room online and start going through the story. 20 minutes later I'm in the Bloody Foothills in a group of 6 people. I completely missed the entire story. It was fun enough just running Bloody runs over and over again so I never went back and played through the story legit.
