My jedi never died once to a BH. I don't even think he ever got on the bounty terminals. I was super paranoid about losing xp, so I didn't do what the B-net kiddies did (like run around the big cities with my saber drawn). I didn't really feel a need to brag, so I kind of pulled the hermit role that jedi should be in.
P.S.: Post NGE, this game is worse than ever. It is 100% vaporware. Do not re-activate your subscription!
