I was a fan of Nelson's Computer Lib/Dream Machines when I was kid that being said every interview I've ever read about him makes me think he is a raving lunatic (though not in a bad way). Anyway, why would you or anyone expect the Internet to be anything other than a reflection of the culture that produced it?
Or in South Park terms: if 25% of the planet is retarded why shouldn't 25% of the Internet be the same?
