I'm following that thread linked above and noticed your (Zehn) post commenting on the PvE side, which is right on the spot: it seems that WoW is heading in a direction where not "the masses", but the totally retarded can enjoy them during their lunch breaks and come out with "rewards".
Honestly, if it's possible to make an involving PvE game without catering to the game-impaired people, I'd be all for it. For how much Zehn hates nostalgia effects (especially if EQ related), I'm going to point out one thing: I bet a lot more thought has been put in the creation of Blackrock Spire than in the entirety of TBC.
We're talking concentrated awesomeness: epic feeling, storyline, magnificent area design from the entrance itself and its surrounding zones to the placement of every boss inside a storyline that made fucking sense and was cool, this both for 5 and 10-15 men up to 40 men raids. Hard to do better, yes? They sure as hell didn't even try.
