Arena ratings for season 4 items (even the honor point items) - fine, although the weapon and shoulder ratings are too high (especially once the shlubs drop).
Arena ratings for season 3 items - epic fail. Now goons are 2 seasons behind on weapons and pose practically no risk for the S4 people. No goons bother logging in post day one (to buy the ratingless items) and the rating requirements collapse.
Moral of the story:
Keep the current season tiered (by rating) to distinguish skill (or class imbalance). Keep the previous season untiered to promote goons logging in to keep the rating ladder intact. The end. |
