None of wows stuns broke on damage either, even the first stun combo from the rogue lasted 10 seconds, never mind the follow ups that could extend that upwards of 25 seconds before you got to do your first counter.
So ya, stuns in pvp are gay but they can be balanced. If people are dieing in 3 seconds in 1 on 1 or 2 on 1, or even 3 on 1 then thats another problem entirely and the longish duration of the stun is irrelevant, could make it last 4 seconds (shorter than most in wow) and it still wouldnt matter because the person still died before it ended.
