He just assumed he'd be getting a penalty, but turns out he didn't. I think SJ got two minors to Calgary's one is how it worked out.

HOW THE FUCK COULD ANYONE POSSIBLY MISS THAT? i hate to buy into the conspiracy theory that the NHL wants the caps to advance to promote ovechkin as the new face of the NHL but calls like that and the bullshit in game 1 make me wonder. of course the fly boys won anyway so i can't complain TOO much but man so far the playoff officiating has been piss poor at best.

I dunno, TSN had a pretty good zoomed angle on the shot and it didn't look like it hit the stick on the way to the net, it went off Biron's glove and in. Either way, it was a very tough call, not as cut and dried as you make it out to be.
