| AP isn't that big a deal if you actually do the quests. If you straight out grind on xp mobs (or use xp potions or make a lot on xp bonus days) you'll end up probably lower then average when you 'max'.
I did alot of quests and was max 100AAs at like level 65-66-ish. I hit the new max AA of 140 around level 77 if I remember.
You'll get a ton of AAs in your 60s if you just do a few things. Do the stupid fedex quests if possible in all the zones. No matter how much everyone bitches about KoS/EoF, at least run thru them to get the disco. 2nd point, run each of those previously single group end zone instances at least ONCE. You'll get disco and 1st kill AA for just about everything. Yeah, alot of that crap kinda sucks, but do it once for that.
Once you hit 70+, AAs are almost a joke. In the new RoK zones, you get them everywhere. Several instances you'll end up doing at least once anyways as well as the massive amount of almost trival fedex quest when you first show up from the boat. That first night there for me, I think I got 10-15AAs just from that first outpost questing area.
At worse, if you hit max level all xp is converted to AAxp. It's actually a pretty inefficient to grind that way tho. AAXP goes way way slow so unless you are killing trash for instances or questing, I wouldn't purposely go that route.
This is past your level tho, but I always found the best way to gain AAs is to level lock around your low levels. Lock from 10 to 20 was perfect then play normally. Almost all quests in that range was much much simplier then what they give you in your 50-60s and with so many zones, it was perfect to bump out each of those level zone quest with combat off. Almost all were simple and solo-able for just about every class in the game. |
