But forget anything I say. Forget anything anyone here says. Go to the store and LOOK at the TV's you want. Get a chair and pop in a dvd. Take it to another store and another TV and pop it in that one to. Make sure you find out if the demo your seeing is in high definition. Get out a ruler and measure how far away you will be sitting from the TV and make sure your veiwing the TV from that distance.
If the image quality make a difference for you then I'd say go with the additional 2grand plus TV. If after looking at them its barely noticable, not noticable, or not worth 2 grand then don't waste your money. Instead take that 2 grand and go buy a killer theater sound system with hand picked subs, speakers, and reciever to give you that movie feeling.
