| Obviously I'll give a nod to gears of war too - the campaign is a blast with another person (especially on the hardest difficulty). It can be pretty challenging at parts, but really enjoyable. For multiplayer play versing other people, for its ease I would either say CoD4 or Halo3, the automated searching is a lot simpler and a lot quicker than you can get most games of gears of war started in. Plus it's actually trying to balance the teams based on rank, instead of joining a full team in gears that will destroy your random group of 4 (also fucking hate all the QUITTERS in gears, jeeeeze).
tl;dr Gears for Co-Op Campaign, CoD4/Halo3 for MP versing.
