Neither of those will help. The 'hitching' is caused by the seamless world engine constantly loading data. The performance bottleneck isn't RAM, it isn't CPU, it isn't GPU, it's the data buses on your motherboard. Apparently, VG pushes too much data for the majority of mainstream buses to handle gracefully. The only fix would be to buy a new, faster motherboard.
BTW, is there such a system that VG doesn't hitch on ever, even in towns or raids? If so, what are the specs? Including MB and HD.
